Apostolos Siokis

Apostolos Siokis was born in Trikala, Thessaly (Greece) on March 23, 1985. He graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras in 2009. He received his Masters Degree and his PhD from the same department in 2011 and 2017 respectively. Along with his studies at the University of Patras he studied Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue and Composition under the guidance of Victor Nikolaou in Mozart conservatory in Patras Greece. He has completed a 300 hour seminar called "Music For Image" at Hellenic Open University (H.O.U.) and a 5 month seminar called "Music of the 20th Century" at Andreas Papagiannakopoulos' Jazz Improvisation lab. He has written music for theater and short films and has collaborated with Trikala Youth Symphony Orchestra. His composition "Three piano miniatures" received an honorable mention at "The Contemporary Piano 2020" international composition competition by ΑΝ ART ARTISTRY.
